Hugs & Kisses

"The best things in life are unseen, that's why we close our eyes when we kiss, cry & dream."
All my boys close their eyes when they give big hugs.  I love that. I love them. I love their hugs-n-kisses too.

Vinny is Three!

A very happy birthday today to my youngest son, Vincent Ray, a/k/a "Vinny."   It sounds like a cliche' but it really is hard to believe he is three already... SCREECH... HALT.. BACK UP... That's not really true.  It's been a long three years actually. lol.  He is an ornery, busy, loud, messy, and potty trained challenge little monster who needs to get his butt to school already! (just joking....) He also just so happens to make me smile at least a dozen times a day, always wants "one more hug", and is smart enough to just answer truthfully when he says "he's NOT sorry" or "he's TOO tired" to work on potty training. He is the cutest, sweetest, most loving yet pain in the butt kid who I love spending time with and I hope he has a great birthday.  When I asked him if he is excited about it being his birthday and turning three, he gave me a shrug of the shoulders and said, "Huh?  I'm not three, I'm four!"  I didn't bother trying to argue.  Happy Birthday Vinny. Hope your third/fourth birthday is the best!  I love you.

Why The Name?

The title of my blog is "All About The Angle."   This is the name I have chosen for my hobby of creating custom photo and video productions.  I am now doing this much more frequently and so I have set up a little business with a website and all! (http://allabouttheangle.com)

I have always enjoyed taking photographs and making highlight films for the athletic teams on which my children play.  I have been doing this for fun for many, many seasons.  Recently, I have learned that the most important part of capturing that ultimate "moment" in a picture or video is all in the "angle."  The angle can be the position in which you are standing in relationship to the field or court; the location and equipment that you choose; or most importantly, the "angle" can be the desired outcome you seek to portray.

My favorite "angle" is seeking the emotion of the moment.- In sports, I love to capture the high-fives and knuckle bumps after the big play; the comradery of the players being exhibited through pats on the back and pep talks. "All About The Angle" means more to me then a cute tag-line... It's a true statement in nearly every aspect of my life..  There are hundreds of ways to look at any event, person, thing, or situation. and to me- it's all about the angle I choose.
